The default behavior of news topics block in XOOPS is quite different to another weblog system. In most of another system the news topics block would display all the recently news one by one. However , in XOOPS , it need the user to choose the kind of news topics that is going to show.

I don't prefer this style. And I saw that the xoops.org are running the News topics block just like what other system did. But i can't find any document talk about it. How can I change the style of the news topics block?

First are you referring to news blocks or the main news page. Just want to be sure.

I suspect if xoops.org has a block that you like, it is one of the blocks supplied with the news modules (but not being sure which one you are referring to) it's hard to say.

Have you looked at admin/blocks section to see which 'news' block are there?
