I didn't update because I was having serious problems with my database. I decided to create a brand new database and repopulate it with the data from my previous site. On the day that I had these problems, I was unable to post my questions to the XOOPS site (still not sure why), so I did what I thought was the best solution.

Is there any solution to my problem, or will I have to remove my imported users and add them again manually?

I recently had a problem with my XOOPS site which was running 2.0.10, so I decided to dump my database into an SQL file and start over again using 2.2.3a Final. After the new version was setup, I started importing all of my old data. For some reason, the users that I imported cannot be seen within the new version of Xoops.

Is there something I can do to make these users work again without having to delete the records and start over from scratch?

I can't believe that I didn't try this in the first place, but I just copied my myalbum folder, called it myalbum1, and uploaded it. Everything worked perfectly without modifying the xoops_version.php file.

I guess I was just trying to do things the hard way, but the module was written so well that I didn't need to do so much work.

Thank you for your help!

So did you even change the folder name before you uploaded it? Should I copy my original folder and rename it myalbum1? You didn't make any changes to the xoops_version file?

I just installed a second instance of myalbum-p, and it's having some problems. I am pretty sure that I made some error when installing the second instance, and maybe one of you could point me in the right direction.

I made an exact copy of my first instance of myalbum and renamed the folder myalbum2. I then went into xoops_version.php and changed the line

Quote:
$mydirname = basename( dirname( __FILE__ ) ) ;

to

Quote:
$mydirname = "myalbum2";

I then did a global find and replace in the file and changed myalbum to myalbum2.

I'm pretty sure this is not the proper way to insert a second instance of myalbum, but I am hosted and don't have full control of everything on the server side.

The strange part of this is that the module appears on the site. Only problem is that I can't seem to upload pictures to it because it says file size is larger than it should be. I've changed my prefs to a very large size, and I still get the error. I'm thinking that it's because I screwed up the install of the module.

Any suggestions? Should I just start over again?

Well, I am hosted, so I'm at the mercy of the hosting providers. Here's what I found out:

MySQL Version: 4.0.20
PHP Version: 4.3.10
Operating system : Debian GNU/Linux

I'm not sure if Apache is used, but I'm pretty sure it is Apache. The host's name is Supreme Server.

Hope this helps

I just upgraded to 2.2RC2 from 2.0.13, and everything is working great as long as I keep PHP Debug turned on. As soon as I turn it off, all I get are blank screens. I then go to the recovery.php and turn PHP Debug on again, and everything works again. Is this just a temporary inconvenience until the stable release comes out?

The site I upgraded is http://www.peninsuladesign.com just in case anybody wants to know.
