Try hacking the downloads module, that's where I think it would be. Find where the forum module adds to the post count and add that to the part of the downloads module that adds/approves a download.

Maybe this is a little late...but I'm writing some code for my TheaterMan module that allows creation of custom surveys. I'll probably break it off into it's own module in the next few weeks/months. It allows you to create text input, list boxes, checklists, radio button lists and dropdown boxes. Any that allow selection from a list are also able to pull a list of options from a seperate file. It might be too late for you but I wanted to get it out there that I'm working on it.

those of you who are into half-finished alpha stuff can see a demo of just the gt_form class here

what would be really useful would be a module that could automatically do a db backup at specified intervals...maybe I'll sick myself on it.

But then again I don't really know mySQL very well. Maybe somebody else could do it though?

How exactly would you propose to do online reservations? would they be emailed? It seems like since different restaraunts accept reservations in different ways it would be kind of tough...

We have a global notification system in XOOPS 2 now, why not using this one to notify about new PMs as well ?? I think there's a big lack !...


It seems that with the new notification stuff in XOOPS 2 that would be a pretty easy hack, maybe I'll try, and maybe somebody else should too....

Probably...there has to be some variable you can check to see if the user is logged in. You could try and find that and then just check that way.

that might work, but only if you don't plan on putting anything else in that block area, you don't want to wind up with a list of recent discussions in the forums filling up your whole header and making everything ugly.
