Is anyone out there working on a restaurant guide module? If so, I would gladly help in anyway I could.

I checked out your site and what you have is very close to what I'd like to do - BTW, your site is very nice!
I would actually like to post the restaurants menus as well as other restaruant info. and possibly even have an "Online Reservations" system.

I think I may start out with the same setup you have and try to create my own module later.

Are you looking to enhance that area of your site too?

How exactly would you propose to do online reservations? would they be emailed? It seems like since different restaraunts accept reservations in different ways it would be kind of tough...

I would start with an e-mail reservation system since it is an easy way to implement such a feature and then on the submission page I would post a timeframe like; Please submit your reservation before 11:00am of the day of the reservation.

That way the restaurant manager could check their e-mail once a day at noon and get all the reservations for that day and beyond.

I know it's not very sophisticated but the end-user will never know.

Sorry for the late reply
As you can see in my site
the restaurant thing i did.
I include a form inside there..
the form will execute a CGI program and send an reservation email to the restaurant.

Thats how i manage mine.

So..I am planning to add more stuff like
REservation TIME :
MR /Mrs....
Date :....

Thats should be it..

Actually, I have been working on a restaurant review module (built on top of lykos_reviews) for a while now. I am almost finished, although I want to convert everything to templates before releasing it. I'll put a message on this thread as soon as I have the prototype up.
