my varialbe isn't cached

Hi,

In file modules/news/index.php I have put my new variable

$xoopsTpl->assign('myvar', 'blebleble');

but when cache of news module is on this variable myvar is always emtpy.

How to store it in cache also?

using simplified_url and how to restrict access directly to xoops directories

Hi,

I'm using simplified_url and it works fine, but I would like to disallow users to write normal "xoops url" like www.mysite.com/modules/news/ (I want to allow only this simplified_urls like e.g. www.mysite.com/news+article.storyid+49.htm).

Any advice?

in http.conf i have uncommented also
'Addmodule' line for mod_rewrite.c
and now is ok.

Hi

I have added to my XOOPS simplified_url hack, but since this change I can see this message:


"Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@localhost and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log."


I have the same error with ShortURLs_0.2.

What is wrong, any advices?

restrict access for user.php and similar pages for search engines

Hi,

I would like to disallow indexing all pages in XOOPS main directory (like readpmsg.php,register.php, userinfo.php etc) any advice?

and second question:
I would disallow to see this pages by not registred users (except user.php ofcourse :)), how to do this?

I'm looking for module to support small right block with few tips, messages(max ten lines), like e.g. "Today in Ny will be rain :)" or best funny news from last week.

I will fill this block only one time in the week, but I dont know which module can I use.

Any advice?

Unfortunately I hava categories, and this field is used to select news by category (You know category like sience, tech etc.)
