One of the modules I am using is xcGal. I would like to know how to change the directory of xcGal.

Right now it is:

/modules/xcgal/

I would like to be able to do this:

/modules/gallery/

I would like to know how to set the default method for viewing comments in my modules. I would prefer that every user is defaulted to FLAT, unless they change it themselves. How can I do this?

I would like to know which CHMOD setting for a directory like UPLOADS is more secure. 777 or 755? Members of the website will be the only users uploading files to the uploads directory.

Has anyone else experienced this? I would like to know if it is possible to have smilies in the comments! If not, I will just have to remove the option to include smilies from the template, once I find it...

I have been noticing that when smilies are used in comments, they show up in their raw form. Even though the comments box used to write has a choice of smilies below it. Is there a way I can get the smilies to work in the comments?

I tried doing that to the register.php file but it does not show anything! Basicaly, goes straight to the form without including my new HTML code!

I would like to know how to add some HTML code in the register.php file. What I'm interested in doing is putting some HTML ahead of the actaul form, giving the prospective member something to read before they see the form, but all on the same page. I tried insterting some HTML page in the user language file which worked except it did it all in BOLD.

I would like to be able to configure the WebMailFX module to operate with a catch all emaill address, thus providing my members with their own webmail accounts. How do I do this so the member's username is used as their email address? I don't want the members to be able to change their email address or configure to use a different POP3 server. I would also like m members to automaticaly be logged in to their mailbox when they go to the module.

I downloaded this single file PHP and when I pointed my browser to it on my server it loaded a blank page. How do you get this file to work?
