The really big issue is that the work isn't only on the theme front, but mainly on the modules. Almost all of them have hard coded HTML, as Bleekk mentioned, and that needs to be removed to get everything working smoothly. That means all frequently used modules need to be rewritten in terms of layout, which is a huge task.

How can the theme designers be involved more into the development of 2.6? I've tried to get it to run on both my local PC and my remote developement server, but it won't run on either one (strangely).

hi dkile

xoops cache or browser cache or both?

I had once a similar problem, and it was the browser (Firefox). I cleaned browser cache and restarted browser, then it worked again.

A variety of site problems are showing up. No changes on my part in a long time.

I have spent a fair amount of time looking at the XOOPS FAQ and Forum looking for a solution with no luck. I have manually gone into PHPadmin and tried to repair Xoops Config. I went thru FTP and deleted my caches.

Examples of some issues:
• Can't turn on Debug Mode
• Can't make changes to General Settings example: can't turn site or change slogan
• Can't change new registration on/off
• Private Messages can't be deleted by users
• Several login issues for users
• No dialog box after trying to do maintenance requests
• Can't change RSS on/off preference in xForum
• New posts in the forum do work

XOOPS 2.5.7
System 2.11
PM 1.1
xForum 5.8

PHP Version 5.4.39
MySQL Version 5.6.22-cll-lve

Any help would be great!

Re: The future of XOOPS?

It is nice to see some people taking interest in helping out for sure. I have not been available myself for a variety of reasons but would like to help out. Just have been stretched to thin with too much going on while working 40 hours a week and going to school. But I do know that the current Github version of 2.6 is NOTHING like 2.5.7 or even the older 2.6 alphas. Going in a great direction just taking a while to get there because of all of the old code in place. I doubt there is a file in the source that hasn't been touched.

Good message, thank you. But these are translations for old modules, I do not know if anyone will need.

Thank you!

I've added the files to XOOPS SVN

I have also added the translations of the older modules you had on your Website.
