Can you define what you mean by "stopped working today"?

Also, as we always ask, can provide your PHP and XOOPS versions?

I just checked, and for me it works just fine:

Does anybody else experience problems with XoopsTube module?

NB: you can help us with writing a tutorial for XoopsTube! :)

Noticed that this module has stopped working today :(

I think it has to do that Google has updated their Data-API.

See: http://youtube-eng.blogspot.se/2015/04/bye-bye-youtube-data-api-v2.html

hi

is this problem solved? https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?post_id=359233#forumpost359233

I found the problem: generated pdf get in header the mime-type "application/force-download", but I do not know, why.

I found only a solution, but IMO the source of the problem should be solved.

I have set few new tutorials, and we need some help with it!

Who can help?

You don't need to be a programmer, just a user of that module. Or somebody who can take the module, play with it, and then write a tutorial on how to use it.

Our Documentation Process is described in this document. You basically fork the tutorial from our XoopsDocs repository on GitHub, set up an account on GitBook, and you can start working on the documentation.

You can view the the tutorials in a "book format" on our GitBook Account

The new tutorials where we need help are here:

Publisher Module
NewBB Module
WF-Downloads Module
XoopsTube Module
XOOPS Partners Module
extGallery Module
extCal Module
Tag Module

I have also added some tutorials from our older modules:

Repair-Shop Module
xHelp Module
xAsset Module
XOOPS Debugging with FireBug and FirePHP

XOOPS 2.5.7 Cookbook for Webmasters

And I've created placeholders for XOOPS 2.6.0 tutorials

XOOPS 2.6.0 Assets Management
XOOPS 2.6.0 Service Manager
XOOPS 2.6.0 Codex

So we have now:

- Documentation Process,
- tools like GitHub and GitBook, and
- placeholders for the documents

The only thing that we need is volunteers who can fork and start working on them.

Who will be the first one?

The RC1 (Release Candidate 1) of Publisher is available for testing.

You can download it from GitHub.

You can also fork it from there, and submit your improvements or bug fixes.

We encourage everybody to open an account on GitHub and get used to working with Git, as this is the current Industry Standard.

Please note:

a) This version is developed and tested ONLY on XOOPS 2.5.7.1
b) this is RC-1, so your testing and feedback is appreciated
c) the TCPDF library has been updated and moved to

/xoops_lib/vendor

If you would like to test PDF, you can download it from our SVN as well (use the "Download Snapshot" link)

We'll be offering it soon on GitHub as well.

We are also looking for help with the Tutorial for Publisher and for few other modules.

You can fork the Publisher Tutorial in GitHub, and then use GitBook to modify it, or you can modify it manually, directly in GitHub, or on your local PC with your own editor.

The beauty of this approach is that once you learn how to use GitHub, you can use these skills for both source code and for Documentation

We don't plan to add any new features to 2.5.8 - it is pretty much in maintenance mode, i.e. we will make sure that it is compatible with PHP 5.6.x, and fix any security issue, if they happen. We might add some very minor changes/improvements, but only if they don't impact existing modules.

This is exactly what I wanted to know, because I was about to add this functionality to the next TDMCreate 1.92 which should be compatible with XOOPS 2.5.8

And your reasoning as to why this will attract more users is?

What if you give us a hand, since many or almost all other cms include in the core this tool very interesting and useful!

It's important for us and for future users who don't struggle to choose xoops, rather than another cms.

I agree !
Going through the code of the original pm module it was more difficult to adjust it to my needs, so I wrote another pm module. It does take into account users assigned to groups and actually updates messages realtime (likee.g. What's up).

The core of Xoops gave me plenty of handles/tools to accomplish this.
Since I made it for a customer that paid me, I can't share it with you guys. But for a developer it is fairly easy to accomplish.
