XOOPS Version XOOPS 2.5.7.2
PHP Version 5.6.23
mySQL Version 5.5.5-10.1.13-MariaDB
Server API apache2handler

Great module, exactly what I need but...

when I try to put a file in the list without attaching a file I get

Quote:
Protector detects attacking actions


on a white screen

When I try to attach a 25 mb rar the upload screen refreshes and on the top of the page I get

Quote:
Warning: POST Content-Length of 24956532 bytes exceeds the limit of 8388608 bytes in Unknown on line 0


there is no error at the bottom of the page (inline)

Looks like your upload limit of your server isn't set correctly.

What's your PHP max post and max upload size?

in php.ini 8M

but that doesn't explain the Protector attacks

Is there any way to stop Biblioteca from changing the names of the files?

Which files? The books that you upload?

For security reasons it's better to let the system rename it to something else, when you upload files.

But maybe in future releases, somebody can add an option to save a link to an existing file, so then you can upload the file yourself and save it under any name you want, and then just save the link to it in the Biblioteca.

Biblioteca is nothing but a renamed and reworked copy of TDMDownloads and it is entirely unnecessary to rename files. It's also a pain in the ass for end users downloading books with scrambled names.

Furthermore, it already has a way to use existing links, which increases the steps and time necessary to upload files.

You might try then:

a) wfDownloads module, and fork it to a new name like "biblioteka". When you download files, they are downloaded under the original names

b) the Bookshop module, but I didn't really use it, so I have no idea if this would be something for you

For Bookshop module, delete line 27 in ./class/bookshop_discounts.php
