Hello everyone,

I've got a problem with my adsense content ad.

When I insert the google code into a block (html type), or put it into my theme.html I can not see the add, just a blank space where the ad should appear.

When I open it with editor, phpDesigner7 and run it on mozilla or ie, everything is showing fine. After I put to my website, the content is empty.

Also If I look at the source of the website index, the script is sitting there.

Don't understand why this happens, so asking you for the help, because I am going nuts :)

Searched the whole forum, tryed different things and nothing works...

It may be that it is just new, and not indexed yet, or there's not enough other content to form a relational basis for serving ad content.

Time will tell.
*edit*
Or of course more helpful, it may be related to 2.5.0
That's for others to say.

Webmaster tools says that it is indexed, because the website is not a fresh one, it has been running for 3 or 4 months, so it should be indexed more or less. Also there is content, I added some news, article, webmaster tools found the keywords and shows their significance, so don't think that it is a problem related to google. Moreover adsense shows that the banner is active

The strange thing that if opened from a editor like phpDesign, the ad is shown, but in website no. I think it may be related to xoops system, maybe there is an option which blocks javascript?

This me be a silly question and a bit obvious but, do you have any ad blocking plugins on your web browser?

It is not a silly question, there are no silly questions :)

I thought so in the first thing, but I tried to open the website on firefox, IE, on my Nexus one, tryed on my girlfriend pc, on my netbook. Turned off the antivirus and other what could potentially block the ad and nothing, same result.

The problem is that the block is empty, even there is no border of adsense ad - just the name of the block and that's all.

I could post a link to my website if it is necessary and if you want of course, but don't think that it a problem regarding ad blocking from client side.

I am thinking of two possible reasons, either it is xoops system either it is a host provider. But I don't really think that is host provider, then it leaves with xoops?

I think the problem is that my website blocks JavaScript. Because I installed extcal module and it is not showing pictures (uses JavaScript).

Google adsense also uses java. Anyone knows how to turn it on? I just can't find from where it can be blocked...

Nope, can't find the problem...

I haven't got much time to look for it recently, but still I don't even know where to begin from, just browsing the files and can't figure it out...

If you are using a windows OS, look in "system32/drivers/etc/" for your "hosts file".
Edit out any adsense entries and see if you have the same issue.

Here's what the legitimate google entries look like:

# [Google Inc]
127.0.0.1 domains.googlesyndication.com #[Parking Service]
127.0.0.1 pagead2.googlesyndication.com #[Google AdWords]
127.0.0.1 adservices.google.com
127.0.0.1 video-stats.video.google.com
# 127.0.0.1 ssl.google-analytics.com #[disabled = Firefox issues]
127.0.0.1 http://www.google-analytics.com #[Google Analytics]
127.0.0.1 4.afs.googleadservices.com
127.0.0.1 feedads.googleadservices.com
127.0.0.1 imageads.googleadservices.com #[Tracking.Cookie]
127.0.0.1 pagead2.googleadservices.com
127.0.0.1 partner.googleadservices.com
127.0.0.1 http://www.googleadservices.com
127.0.0.1 apps5.oingo.com #[Microsoft.Typo-Patrol]
127.0.0.1 http://www.appliedsemantics.com
127.0.0.1 service.urchin.com #[Urchin Tracking Module]
The more I know, the more I know that I really didn't wanna know.
