Having a strange one here

Two seperate new builds of 2.5 both give same issue

When trying to set permissions for user profile when selecting visibility option I am met with a blank page

and using debug the following
Quote:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function loadmoduleadminmenu() in D:\*************************\modules\profile\admin\visibility.php on line 23
None All Errors (2) Deprecated (0) Queries (20) Blocks (0) Extra (2) Timers(5)
Errors
Notice: Undefined variable: current in file /modules/system/class/gui.php line 128
Notice: Undefined index: in file /modules/system/class/menu.php line 139

I have tried updateing module both before and after updating system module and tried differing frontend and backend themes

anyone have similar?

Oh and looking at my DB table for visibility it only allows groups 1 2 3 to view profile info, not other usergroups

open up

...modules\profile\admin\visibility.php

and remove this line

loadModuleAdminMenu(5, "");

Hallo there. I'm having some trouble with profile module.

First of all i added a new user group. And then i created a user for that group.

Even though i had set the basic permissions in group access and in profile module, the user of this new group could not see his own profile details. It just shows the edit buttons and nothing more. Visibility permissions should be set seperatelly!

Shouldn't it be by default that every user CAN see his own profile details no matter what group he belongs to?

Also a button to have one group inherit another groups permisions would be handy, as the way we have to set them up right now is not very handy.

Cheers

Same problem for me. Still no fix?

Removing loadModuleAdminMenu(5, ""); from visibility.php is not really a fix.

I think this is a bug in the profile module. I have made a a lot of tests. (with different php versions, os, clean install etc).

And.. If you have created a custom group, then the user in that group can't edit or view his or any other users user profile even if the permissions is set right.
I love Xoops!

Hi friends

First, the fix works for me. I bring with two error warning i did not see, i dont know if this warnings habe something to do with this problem. In the admin section of the profile module, if i choose the visibility option, i see:

- Undefined variable: current in file /modules/system/class/gui.php line 128
- Undefined index: in file /modules/system/class/menu.php line 139

The other options works fine.

Greetings Andy
