Is newbbex stopped developing?

Even the developer (http://xoops.instant-zero.com) testing out CCB Forum (http://xoops.instant-zero.com/modules/newbb/) now?

So how? Should I dump newbbex and search for replacement?

Newbbex has only just been updated for 2.3.0 and is still offered as a free download on the IZ website. In the absence of announcements from IZ to the contrary I don't think you can assume that.

Given that the Forums are not linked from the homepage and that support Forums are only available to those who subscribe to a support package, it might be that CBB has been installed for testing/comparison purposes..... these's no forums set up other than the standard one on install.

No, NewBBex is a finished module. It is complete as it is. So, it don't need further development.
From a small car, you don't say either that it has stopped development, because it is not yet an USV.
NewBBex is a kind of lighter version in functionality then NewBB, which eases maintainance.
If you are happy with it, there is no need to change or abandon this forum module.

It might that the other support forums are not yet ready (The site was already a week closed) and that they will reappear in the following days. As IZ is scarce with this kind of information, we will have to wait and see.

But this problem still exist, and nobody able to fix it.

https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=66212&forum=20&post_id=299079#forumpost299079

It is quite frustrating.

It is rather a problem of the new XOOPS 2.3.x and its editor integration, than the problem of the module NewBBex itself.

It would be sad, if this is the reason why IZ changed the forum module on its site.

If you can't wait for v2.3.2, which hopefully resolves this issues, then I guess there is nothing left then to change modules, altough v2.3.x has also its quirks for NewBB.

I wouldn't swap forums away from newbbex at the moment.... the CBB issue seems more significant (to my mind at least!) than the newbbex issue.

Reda's newbbex forums (http://www.xoopsland.com/) are working at the moment; perhaps he's solved the issue?
