Hello,

I need to add space between the inserted image and text on the links on the Web Links module so that it will look nicer. Currently the text displays right next to the image. You can view it here: http://www.jigjak.com/modules/weblinks/viewcat.php?cid=4

I looked around and tried few things, but couldn't figure out what to do. Can anyone help? Thank you.

Yes, I have tried changing it there and it won't work, because when you add the image and text, it passes it in together as '$link.description' and adding any code to the templete has no effect. I was wondering if there are any BBCode that I can use for this.

It's a simple thing but since the image and text is being saved together in the database, it's hard to modify the code.

Thx.

I know what you mean. It took me a while to finally figure a way to get them with some space betwen them. It is a nice module but I have found it to be very cumbersome to work with using the bb code and I can't seem to get the text editors loaded correctly so here is what I did.

I created a 5 px wide spacer gif pic. Actually I created several of varying lengths so they would work depending on what size the pic was I was using with the description text. Then I played around with it until I got it in the right spot which gave me the space/separation I needed so it looked more professional.

it can be easily done by set a margin for images.

according to your pages you have 2 solutions:

1- without touching weblinks templates add a div img{ margin: 3px;} to theme style.css
2- define a new class "weblinks_content" and add it to div part in the weblinks templates.maybe it has it already i dont familiar with weblinks module so dont know.

The way I do it is put the image on a blank page with the same color background and then screen capture and crop leaving the amount of background around the image needed to create the unseen border.

Thank you all for replying to my post.

Quest & BlueStockings,
I tried your suggestions and it worked well!

Irmtfan,
I am not a php coder and couldn't figure out how to do what you suggested. It would have been great though to not having to mess with the images on all the links and let the code take care of it.

Thanks again!!!!
