Wasn't there a module out there that made your PM (private message) inbox, into an inbox and a saved outbox?

Yes - visit http://www.frxoops.org - and search for the module by member "venom"... it's currently in French, although an English translation has just been finished.

There was a module included with 2.2.3.... It had outbox and savebox. I don't know if it would work with 2.0.16, but you could try it.

I kinda doubt it though since the private messaging is a part of the core installation on 2.0.16... I am looking at the possibility on my test site though. I'll let you know if it works.

I don't even see an option to turn PM off in 2.0.16. I don't want to try to install the PM module without doing that first.

I tried it. White screen on the PM module in 2.0.16.

i found it with a 3 seconds search for "venom"
the module called "MPmanager" currently 2.5 beta

The 2.2 module will not work in 2.0.x

Venom's module is very impressive, although it requires about 4 hacks I believe - plus some template changes.

(Standard advise about hacks applies: make a note of changes so you can undo them... and also backup before installing)
