My site, boashouse.com was running at .15 xoops. I saw the new .16 version so i downloaded the file, deleted the install folder and uploaded the htdocs folder to the server. I'm done uploading but all i get is this.

Not Found
The requested URL /modules/news/install/index.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/1.3.37 Server at http://www.boashouse.com Port 80

Please help. I do not know what I did wrong. I cannot access my site nor my administration menu.

It seems you overwrote mainfile.php and that shouldn't have been done. You'll have to insert into mainfile.php manually the virtual and physical paths along with the database details.

i have a backup i made last night but i cant upload it cause im not the hoster. I have the back up file though in my computer. Is there anyway to extract the mainfile.php from this?? targz file??

You can find the software 7zip, extract the contents, and then upload the mainfile.php back to you site.
