Hi,

I am new to xoops. I read the FAQ how to install modules, so I did:

1.) Install XOOPS (OK) with easy btw.
2.) Upload module article to root/modules/article
3.) Go to system admin => modules

x.) There are no modules, only system admin module!?

I deleted XOOPS and reinstall everything, including try some other module to upload and install. There is no module showing in system admin => modules

Pls help

Go to the module repository section under the Community tag at http://www.xoops.org. Here you shall find many modules which you can download and trasfer to your root directory at your host and then install them. After you install a module you shall start seeing the various modules.

I also recoment the following - especially the tutorials:
New users should always checkout the following:
1. Documentation - linked on the left. Specifically the administration manual
2. The FAQ section - linked on the left - specifically the sections on gloassry, beginners first steps, modules, blocks and themes. There are links to visual tutorials here.
3. The search function on the top right.
