We have been using XOOPS for about 20 months now. all or a sudden, after a user/admin logis in the page is blank. I can hit the backspace button and provide phony credentials and the admin page show up.

any webmaster group login causes a blank page after pressing the login button from the main page.

registered users do not get this error.

when i change a registered user to the webmaster group the blank page is displayed when loging in. i change them back out of the webmaster group and the login works normally.

i turned on PHPdebug and got a notice our of XOOPS stats. when i view source on the blank page there is no html.

i searched the docs and did not find anything like this problem.

it appears as if the webmaster login only fails on the home page. if i go to say, image gallery, and log in it works. when i click home from the image gallery it is back to blank page.

Please do the read before you post thing - your XOOPS versions etc...Read the post, copy and paste the list and share the information - without it we are limited in what help we can offer.

Directory /var/www/html/cache was not writable.
We can now log in as webmaster and see the home page.

I am now getting this error after trying to install evennews module.

There must be a permissions issue somewhere.

Does anyone know where the rights for main menu are at?
