How do I change the author of a NEWS item?

I upload News item for another user. Rather than logging in under his account, I'd rather log in as admin and post news. Then go in and edit the Author field to his name. Must I manually edit the table data? Can you point me in proper direction to do it?

If it's not with News 1.1, when you edit the news, you can select its author.

Yes its' NEWS 1.1. What NEWS module to you use/recommend?

I would like to get one that had a PDF option.

News 1.44 has a PDF option.
