RE: xoops2-mod osCommerse_v0_2b_michael baecker

Installation was no problem, the following is my "action and result" log from articles found here in the Forum of similar issues. I cannot resolve this on my own. Anyone to help. Thank you

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: tep_db_query() in /hsphere/local/home/jonathon/icommarket.com/xoops-2.0.14/htdocs/modules/shop/blocks/best_seller.php on line 10

1. "Failed opening required..." or "Undefined function..."

This most likely indicates that a required file could not be loaded. First check if the file is there and in the correct location; if it is, then check the permissions of the file to make sure the webserver can READ it. It is also possible that the file is corrupted, or that your FTP program changed file/directory names. Check your FTP program settings (make sure you "preserve directory structure", and do NOT "force lowercase", etc...) and try again installing/uploading the files again.

Solution Attempt Action:
Reuploaded best_seller.php Problem remains the same

Result:

Re: Fatal Errors from osCommerse modual

This is a fantastic lot of information - you are really trying! One question though...can't see a reference to which XOOPS version you are using. For example 2.0.14 is suited to php 5 versions...

Have done a quick search on the call to undefined function and found someone else has had the same problem:
here...but they haven;t indicated if they managed to resolve the problem.

This FAQ may give you a clue

These were two things i found with a search on 'Call to undefined function' - there were plenty more to browse through.

Finally what does your research show about the development of os commerce module- can the module writer be contacted? when was the last update?

HTH

Last time I tried the OSC module in XOOPS I found the major problem to be that OSC Blocks do not work outside of the module itself.

What this means that if you do display OSC related modules, these will only work when you are in the OSC module itself. Displaying Top Products, for example, on your top page will not work and will generate the errors you are experiencing.

HTH.

Cheers.
