I'm looking for a module that allows me to create smarty expressions which are valid on my complete XOOPS site. It should manage these smartys and smartys should be editable there.

a smarty may be: a text string, srcipt, or small php

smartys should be ready to use in blocks, themes and tempaltefiles
any ideas?

Hi Michael

The SmartLanguage module actually does that, It allows you to create Custom Smarty Tags. It was designed for XOOPS Multilanguages, to allow people to create multilanguage smarty tags, but i'm sure that feature could be quickly extracted from SmartLanguage and put in an individual module.

As an extension of the idea, will it be posible to assign smarty to page or module, like in smart faq (not shure, but think it was there), a question could be assigned to page.

hi marc, yes, now where you reminded me
i knew that i had a view into such a modul but I did not remember that it was one from smartfactory. haha ... yes thats my age ... erm ..
