Thanks michael.

No Smartphone in your hand? It should Run better on phones and Smartphones than on PAD'S.

There is a Version with less blocks (less data) but in a different colorscheme.

xf_lightblue-2013

Perhaps have a Look a that one with your phone?

you know that i love to play with themes and i'm getting used to play with smarty and stuff day to day.

most things didn't change though

I need you to have look at a theme on your phone, pad and stuff. (please use your wlan, graphics may kill your flatrate

There are services to emulate this but, ... real user experience is worth more than that. !!!

Please have a look at: my theme test site please and tell me how it works.

what about the nav on screens smaller than 500px? Does everything work for you?

here is a link to a screenshot

Desktop and ipads view:

Resized Image

I plan to rework my old themes to run on touchable devices and desktop both but need some testing.

thanks folks!
Michael

sorry, i know that this is not the support forum, but just a short question:

where do i find how <{$category.image}> is assigned and where can i see the creation of that link, where do you set the height, etc..

perhaps i'm missing something, while rendering mylinks_index.html the path to category image is build like that

img src='

Fine, so you make 2 (or more) ul's out of one, if there is an item divided by 4 = 1

Can you show me the html Output of that, please?

I thought different for i wouldn't love to kill the structure of an unordered list. Last Night i made a quick an Dirty test with Mylinks categories display. I made 8 categories but "divided" the list only to be visible like a two column with css only.

mylinks 2 column category list using unordered list

Look into the source, One unordered list using CSS to display a 2 colum Arrangement.
Didn't know if i would use it this Way, though.

It was just quick and Dirty and Thats not what you Need but for me it was Fun

Keep on good work and have fun, playing with xoops!
Michael

I'm not sure if i understand correct what you want to achieve. (Puuuh, there are so many nested divs there ...)

To sum up in short, what i understand:

You want to display an unordered list with 8 list-Elements but not "the normal way" with a list in one column but within 2 columns/blocks?, 4 list-Elements left and 4 list-Elements right, is it that simple?

while digging through some templatefiles of modules, it seems that regarding this topic not much has changed during the years I was absent. Correct me, if I am wrong!

It's not that funny to clean templatefiles ... especially not, if you are not a coder.

I just wrote an article in my blog let's talk about xoops classes "even" and "odd".

Quote:

today, there we have other ways to achieve this.

using :nth-child(even) in css is only one little "new" thing you should use. While you would like to display data out of a loop there are not many arguments to use inline-styles or attributes like align="left" which makes it hard to override.

Using CSS we can grab those things and display them like we want, we can individually grab nearly any number of a child, the first, the last ... using the pseudo-selector :nth-child. Really no need to care for while creating modules, really.

Can we talk about this (again)?

why don't you use html element aside for your blocks? and section within module output? what about data-attribut?

Why you (module-developer) should use this?

For you, there will be no need to care for. Do what you can do best and which makes most fun for you.

sorry for just being back and actually a little bit sucked (once) again :( These are only some things I thought about while playing with xoops. It's really sad not to see those things i was used to use but not here in my old xoops.

I'm willing to help where I can, while playing with xoops themes.

one of the first things i did after installing my first xoops for some years (and of course, getting wordpress to run with XPressME) was to get my old (2007) xoops theme to be responsive. (I actually added only one breakpoint for viewports less than 900px for I often use my pad at landscape and portrait )

XOOPSFACTORY

I would like to know your experience regarding this topic. How many visitors of your site use smartphones, pads and things? How important is this topic for you?
