Hi to all of you.

I would like to know, how can I turn all my pages in my site, into automatic aligned ones...

I mean that I have a 19" monitor running on 1280x1024, and when for the first time I saw my page on another computer with a 17"monitor[@]1024x768, someone would have to scroll horizontally in order to view the whole page...

I have seen other pages, that when I try to visit them with 1024x768 they seem to get automatically aligned to the size of my monitor's resolution, viewing area.

How can I make my pages automatically aligned?
I have edited my styles.css file and changed the default size of the width of my webpages to 1000pixels....

Any help, appreciated...

well, its not easy to do, depnding on your content. I looked at the site in your profile, and your content is fine... nothing forcing the theme to wide, content-wise.

After looking at your style shhet for

I suggect reducing the width here:

#obLayout {

width1050px;

margin0px auto;

padding0px;

text-alignleft;

background-color#FFFFFF;
}

You need to first try to reduce the Width to below 1050px

This is obviously wider than a 1024 wide screen can hold, for the results you want.

You also need to make sure your theme gets updated in the db, before you will see any changes from simply editing the style.css file.

Hope that helps...

BTW- the size of the monitor has no relevance whatsoever.

all that matters here is the resolution that the system is running under.

Well designed sites should be able to be viewed effectively even at 800x600 without scrolling sideways.

Would it be a good idea for dimitris to change his theme from a fixed width to a flexable one?

Set it to 100% instead of a pixel measurement
