How can i change my font type to comic sans ms for example?

You will have to find and edit your style sheet for the theme you are using in your XOOPS directory themes. CSS file

then edit the font to comic sans or whatever you want save and upload again.

ummm.... be careful doing that, as not everyone will have the comic sans font in their system, and the site will then default to whatever their browser thinks should be the correct font, and it can ruin the layout...amongst other things.

For fonts and websites, you have 2 choices when delivering content to the masses: serif or sans-serif

I change the style.css but nothing changes...

adrock is right, but most users have updated browsers (At least users that visit my site), and make sure that its the theme that you are using and the css file for it, or it could possibly be the .css file for XOOPS itself and not the theme, I can't recall at this time.

you've probably made a mistake in the css file as it should change automatically when you do that. Double check it for 'boo-boo's'

Another option would be to;

clear the templates_c directory, or go to the admin area and say 'yes' to the "Update module template .html files from themes/your theme/templates directory?" option.

(be sure to turn that off again after your done changing things...)

...but that is for changing the html files and not the css.

also changed the xoops/xoops.css file but nothing happend:|
I change that line to "font-family: Comic Sans MS;"

font-family: "Comic Sans MS";

last thing: you may need to refresh your browser, and when I say refresh delete all temporary internet files and then refresh after each change. sometimes depending on the setting of your browser (at least for IE) this must be done.

This issue is easily solved for IE by going to the options and telling to IE to check for new versions of the page on every visit.
(or simply hold the cntrl key while hitting the refresh button or F5)
