i have upload some avatars in this directory -> modules/system/admin/avatars

is it correct? because i do not have some system avatars i dont know why.

and next you have to deal with the database.

or what you can do is upload 1 by 1 at the admin.

aren't the avatars stored in the /uploads/ folder?
