3 inch gap at the top of my theme

Hey people, im changed this theme around but the thing is no matter what i try and do i always end up with a 3 inch gap at the top of the page any one got any ideas?

Is it possible to see this on a live page? I always find it easier to detect bugs when the complete code is rendered. It also could be possible that there is a bug in your style.css.

EDIT: BTW the closing head-tag is missing.

or better yet, take the margin attributes out of the body tag altogether and place them in your style.css file
