Using a random hint I found Donorge, and IMHO it's ideas is great (baskets, sharing donations). Why do not use Donorge for XOOPS and XOOPS modules? Or at least try it...

Another (slightly related to above) ideas - XOOPS module for Donorge integration (as it was done for Paypal), and... because Donorge itself is GPLed but heavy depend from Drupal - create XOOPS-based Donorge's fork or port

no, not really stupid, but there are many many many features and payment systems and services we can include in XOOPS. That's what we have modules for So, it's not a bad idea at all, now you need to find the people who share this enthusiasm and find a way to make this into a module for XOOPS Porting the whole service to XOOPS is not a good idea tho, as this depends on the Donorge organisation and we can't just copy that...
