So I'm looking to start a new site but I have a bunch of questions. Say my site ends up having like 2400 members and a packed full message board and what not... how much server space is that going to take?

Also how do I change the theme and can I do that even after it's up and running?

data is stored in the database.. not on the server.. and data size varies.. so i can't give a definite answer there..

and yes you can change themes..

the XOOPS FAQ and documentation links in the left column will more than likely answer all your questions or use the search feature to find things before asking a question.. if u still can't find an answer then post in the forum, The regulars here try to help as much as possible but we hate repeating the same answers to questions that have been asked many times, so searching 1st will save on replies such as "use the search feature or read the FAQ" :)

The size of the database varies along with the database content.

A couple of examples from the xoops.org database:

xoops.org NewBB forum tables (90.000 posts) : 65 MB
xoops.org users table (30.000 users) : 8.6 MB
xoops.org priv_msg table (461,166 PMs) : 334 MB (Yes, we will do something about this soon)
