I cant get to my admin panel.

Just moved my site and have CHMODed cache, templates_c, and upload folders to 777 with cpanel. And my administration menu keeps telling me this is the first time you..... so i press submit it says loggin me in and goes back to telling me its the first time blah blah... i know the folder is writable as all my sites caching for the modules appears even after i delete them, this appears to JUST be the administration menu, no i have no software firewall running either.

ne ideas?

This happened to me very recently after a PC upgrade. Have you installed a program like Nortons?

If you have do this:

1. Open Nortons Internet security from your desk top
2. Locate privacy control
3. Make sure it is turned 'OFF'

It seems to be blocking the way your PC communicates with Xoops.

Also check your cookies in your Internet explorer - may sure you allowing them all.

If you are not sure how to do this please ask...but try the nortons first if you have it...I am keen to know which of these two things I did is the solution to the problem.

as stated above i have nothing installed in the way of a firewall or norton AV i use AVG AV. Windows firewall is also disabled.

i deleted my site and uploaded a clean XOOPS and now i have no issues! i will just import my SQL data piece by piece.
