Hello,

For my XOOPS site I need to integrate the Recent News and Recent Topics blocks in another Custom block.

What's the best way of doing this?

I've allready tried to paste the template file content in the custom block, but that doesn't seem to work.
Or is there a way of including the whole block in the custom block?

Can someone help me out please?

Could you do this the other way round? I mean put the contents of your custom block in the Recent news/ Recent topics block templates.

Just a thought untill someone comes up with something better

Thanks voor the advice, but I think that's not really a solution for my problem, because I need to use Recent News and Recent Topics in one block.

So If I use the Recent News block to put all the content in, I will still not be able to use the Recoent Topics block...

Is there maybe another method?

For this task you can try to use BopComments

Thanks, this looks a good module to use for this.

However, I still have a problem with this module. I want to use the layout that is used for the module itself for the block.

So I mean that I want a block with seperate parts (newstopics, forumtopics, ...), just like the layout of the BopComments module itself.

How can I use the module layout for the block?

Can't recall module settings exactly (but if my memry serve me correct - there are such possibilities in configuration), but you can try it with own hands... I hope, partially russian content of site will not a big problem in admin area - you can register at my site and I'll delegate you full rights for administration of BopComments
