I am a newcomer to XOOPS and I have recently installed it in a website I am developing. I have had no problems putting in the modules that came with XOOPS but I cannot get anything done with the other modules that I am trying to install. All I want is a simple stinken chat room and I cant get any to work.
I get them from the Repository on this site and then I put the folder (after unzipping it) into the modules folder on my server. From the installation instructions that I have read, this should be enough...is there something I am doing wrong? PLEASE HELP!!

If you are a newcomer to xoops, let me also suggest that you take a good look at the documentation available to help you on the way. (see my link here) We try to make things as much "out of the box " as possible, but it will take a little familiarisation time for users with little or no experience.
