How to translate XOOPS to Vietnamese ?

Hi,
I installed XOOPS yesterday and I played around with it for a while. COOL. Unlike Postnuke, XOOPS needs to do some setup, but seems more flexible... And, forum integrated !
There is no Vietnamese language for XOOPS. I did a search but I could not find out how to translate XOOPS to Vietnamese or other language. I would appreciate someone could tell me where I can go to look at how to do that. I plan to use Unicode (utf-8).

It may be worth checking this out to see what answers are given.

first you must choose a charset for your language and then translate the lang files
look at this:

I've seen at least one Vietnamese site (can't remember where but it was linked in these forums), and i know another guy who has done a partial translation already. If you PM me I'll put you in contact with him. Maybe you can finish it off between you.

Hi !
Just downloaded ! Will install it tonight then inform the result. By the way, if I would like to amend some, say, sentences, what editor should I use. I have Ultra edit 10., is it appropriate ?
