I cannot seem to get xsas to work. I can install it (ie. have it bring up the primary screen) but when I click the xoops2 link and try to go the xoops2 install my browser cannot seem to find the install. Anyone have solutions?

The XSAS is already pre-installed the XOOPS 2.0.6.

For the installing for 2.0.7.3:

You can upgrade it by using upgrade script

or

Delete everything in the xoops2 folder and fresh install a new one just like on the web one.

I understand that part. I simply get a page not found error in my browser when I try to go to the XOOPS install on my hard drive which xsas made. It seems that the localhost function isn't working... any thoughts?

1. when xsas is running you have two windowbuttons in your taskbar right? (one labeled 'Xsas' and one labeled 'w:\usr\local...apache.exe)

2. what happens when you open a command window and enter ping localhost? Does it resolve into 127.0.0.1?

buttons on my taskbar? I don't see any when I run the program. Does this program work with Windows ME that's what I am running.

Ahhh .... hmmm .... uuuuhhhh ...

When you run XSAS two windows should open up:

1. Showing XSAS grafical screen
2. Blank black window where apche.exe is running (no output there)

Those do open when you start xsas right?
(if so there should be two buttons in the taskbar for those windows)

Not two tindows, only one. However, I know from windows explorer that I now have a w:/ drive, which is the server. When I click on the link from the xsas window which is supposed to open XOOPS I get a error page.

Anyone has an idea on this ? My friend has the same problem. It seems as Apache is not started. When you go in Task Manager, you can clearly see that apache.exe is not started.

The environment is Windows XP Familly SP1. No Firewall.

Any advise ?

Thanks !

Seems that XSAS does not work with the family version of Windows XP. Would only work with the Pro version. Could someone confirm or deny this please ?

Thanks !

I run xsas fine on my desktop with XP home, but it does this on my laptop with the same OS. This being open the main xsas page, but when I click on xoops2 it opens my browser and trys to log me on to the internet to find localhost, and the apache window doesn't come up, until I exit out of xsax then it comes up for a second, and the whole thing shuts down.

I just bought this laptop for the sole purpose of being able to work on modules and stuff anywhere I go so if I can't get this to work I am going to be highly upset.

I noticed in the docs where it says - switch on TCP/IP network protocol (if you have no network card just install something).
How do I check this?

Some one help please.

Thanks, Steve
