Hello. I want to ask, does anyone know other XOOPS module (or hack) for publishing news? Let me explain a little: my website is publishing daily software news (new version of Winamp released, Nero Burning Rom 6.x available for download, mIRC updated, etc). So now i must to create topic for every program and search for picture for it. Can you imagine how hard is this work? It's needed to make at least few hundreds of topic and pictures. I would like to post news without selecting any topic (just selecting picture from list), like in VirtuaNews for example. Are there exists any other module or hack for this?

Any comments and ideas are highly welcome.

Hi,

Why don't you use the XOOPS news module ?
Begin with a great upload of as many pictures as you can (witht the image manager) and "that's all" ?
When you create a news in this module, you can also upload pictures inside your article.

Bye,
Hervé

Hey. You didn't understand me right (or i types my question not clearly enough). I need just one picture per article (logo image), no more pictures. But for example, i am writing about Photoshop and i don't have logo for this program, but i have logo with paints, brushes and other things so i could use it. But i can't now, because if i'll select other logo, topic name won't be Photoshop anymore. I see just one chance now - i need to edit my theme and remove Topic Name from section. So i'll be able to select topic names in Admin area but users won't see them anymore. That's i want.

Oh man, i just looked at this... Not possible. Changes applies to News Title too. I can't imagine how to hide topic name by editing theme file... Must to find other way.
