i am using the news 1.2

just restored my site from a old database
and some things might need some tweaks..

got problem with the news now..

I click on "More Releases on this category" and there wasn't any news..

its just plain white on the botttom of the page.

i tried debug and there wasn't any result.

Hi,

Did you verifyed the view permissions inside the module ?

hmm yea i set the permission already..
but still same thing..

i installed reinstall the files from a fresh news 1.2 downloaded from Xoops.org and..

i restored my database with the backup SQL files...

everything works.. except for the "More releases in this category "

There's something I don't understand, the link "More releases in this category" it's not a link coming from the news module. Are you sure that you are talking about the News module and not of another module ?

i am setting the mode to View by topic..
and on the bottom of every topic there are several news topics


-news topic 1
-news topic 2
-news topic 3
more releases in [news category]

edit edit-------------------
[nvm..i got this problem solved already]
i uninstall and reinstall the whole module

i totally uninstall the module....
then..after that i deleted the newly fresh created database off xoops..

i deleted 2 of news database
xoops_stories and xoops_topics..
but i didn't delete xoops_stories_files

delete templace_c folder
delete cache folder
then reinstall the module
then i restore my old backup database into it
xoops_stories and xoops_topics..

that settle everything for me.

Hervé, it's the same old same old issue with the classic display of articles.

The "more releases in..." link is in By Topic view and leads to the topic display that uses Classic view

Not at all..
Anything i can do to help on the developement

the XOOPS version is the latest one in the xoops.org
2.07 with the latest bug fixes.

the theme i am using is 7dana Zaja-X.

i uploaded the new sql dump into my server already.
i'll pm you
