Hi,
Thanks, I'll take a look at TinyContent 1.5
Yes, as you say, why not have some form of HTML content (or PHP) , that goes on the main page ??
One of my concerns is SEO, as one site was heavily penalised by Google recently by having duplicate content (it happened by mistake). I could use mod_rewrite to make /modules/news be displayed on the front page, but then if the link to the news section is osmewhere else, bots may pick it up as duplicate content, I don;t know ? Also, I would rather have:
http://forums.example.comthan .........
http://example.com/modules/newbbI'd rather supply links to the website as:
http://example.comand then NOT have the usual .............
http://example.com/modules/news (or sections or whatever)
I don't know much about bots/crawlers (still learning), but I do know they prefer to just hit a website at the 'default' page, and simply follow links.
That's why I have added the 'Policies' on the menu today, just as simple links.
Having the module approach for menus is nice though, easy to manange and easy to say who can look at what, it's just this main page thing, which is in fact, such a basic need for a website.
Thanks,
Peter
