Hello eveyone, i just got XOOPS tonight and have been playing! I'm very excited! I do have a question about the email set up for registration.

I tried using phpMail()
for this setting i specified the from address (my email) blah@blah.com

specified the name MyDomain.com
from user admin

When a new user signs up it says it sent mail..but doesnt seem to arrive. I have also tried to use my mail servers. the smtp server is mail.mydomain.com typed that in and tried giving it the user and password for SMTPAuth...but both of those seem to cause an "internal error" when a new user registers. I am sure i have php Mail() working on my gallery 1.4.4 though...so im a little confused about why its not working, any thoughts?

I think another option was sendmail, wasn't it ? Try that if it is there. I'm a noob also, so I'm just guessing.
