Hello,

I am very interested in feedback for
http://www.infoguia2007.com and http://www.infoguia2007.com/~en

I am looking for a mapserver type module but I have already
put a post in.

What is the best way to integrate multiple languages?
I would like to include French and Italian.

Where would be a good place to look for French and Italian collaborators?

Lyn

Thanks

Very nice site.

Don't have answers for all of your questions, but marcan has a multi-language hack for 2.0.7. Do a search you will find it.

Hi lynhines !

Here is the package to get your site multilingual : XOOPS Multilanguages 1.4 is out !

As I said in the news located at the previous link :
Quote:
Now, as usual, allow me to remind you that it is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that you carefully read the file ReadMe.txt. This package is not a regular module. It is a severally hack version of XOOPS 2.0.7. You need to take all the necessary precautions to install it and this starts with reading ReadMe.txt.

Here are a couple of tutorials that might answers some of your questions :

- How can I have a multilingual Main Menu ?
- Change languages in your theme
- How to hack a module to use XOOPS Multilanguages

This should give you a good start. If you have any questions, feel free to post them on the forum here : NotreVie.ca - The world of XOOPS !

Hope this helps you.

Cheers !

I think the sites have a very refreshing appeal to them. Very business looking. I like it :)

Merci Marcan,

I actually downloaded your modules from your
site but decided I needed to take care of some other items
first, like getting it seen, for example.

I expected actually people to rip it apart more!

I'll take another look at the multilingual module.

Merci encore,

Lyn

The link for "How can I have a multilingual Main Menu ?" posted by Marcan below is no longer working. Does anyone have an updated link?

Does anyone know how to get multilingual main menus working? I know that I'll need to pass the menu block through the text sanitizer, but I'm unsure where/how to do that.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
-mike
