How come i stay in the Users online box?

when i go to my site it shows 1 guest online i log into my account it show my guest and me in the users online box
when i close the IE window and go back to my site i am logged out (like it is supposed to do) but no i have 2 guest and me still in the users online list to get me out i have to login the logout to rid my name of that list is there something with my cookies or a XOOPS setting?

Unfortunately this is a problem with that module.

A few hacks and suggestions have been made elsewhere on this site to remedy this. I haven't tried any of them (yet), so I can not tell you the best approach.

I can not remember any of the threads right now, so you will have to search for them.

The equations used in this module seem to be geared more to the side of preserving server resources, and only get updated a handful of times per hour from memory. As Vargr has said there are several threads in this forum which include code to make these equations quite a bit more accurate. However, this does increase load on your server, so I'd be careful in doing this if you have a high traffic site and/or use a shared hosting service.

Thanks yall for the replies! You to vargr for the last post!
Well loading down my server is not a big issue it is Dual Xeons @ 2.8GHz with 4GB ram and dual 15k RPM Cheetahs so it is good to go! I will look around see what i can find cause the feature is annoying!
