Just downloaded RC1 and got it working - nice , very nice!

Small problem with the install though - you need to create a "xoops" database first , blank without any tables, before running install.php - otherwise, it wont work.

i'm using the usual stuff - linux, mysql

Hmm.. you're right, maybe we should add "Create DB" option in the install script.

Hi,
So far this version of the CMS looks good...
I like the streamlined menus and the removal of default clutter on the main screen.
I also like the dropping of the nuke name which I think is kind of stupid to keep... although XOOPS isn't much better... it will do...
My question is how one would go about getting multiple language support especially Spanish and Portuguese... among others... Will this need to be driven by the individual or will it be easily supported as in Postnuke...
Happy New Year... And thanks for turning vaporware into software! Ciao... DK

We may, but for now, we do not have a plan to implement the multi lang feature into our package.

One big problem for multi-lang feature is that not all languages use the same charset, and when users post with different charset set on their browser, those posted data will not display correctly when output because only one charset is allowed to use when display.
