No replies and I couldn't fix it either

Dokuwiki consigned to the bin and going with Wiwimod instead....looks like it's easier to the novice user, too.

Thanks anyway.

I've sent a PM to the bdwwebs.com webmaster via that website. Do I need to reply to you too (assuming that you are not one and the same person!)?

Hi all,

Please could I trouble you for some help?

I've installed DokuWiki 2.01 on my embrionic site

DokuWiki seems to work as it should other than some strange/quirky behaviour.........see the screen-grab below:

Resized Image

1. The buttons are not as they should be
2. the word start is half-covered

If I refresh the screen I get this:

Resized Image

1. the correct buttons
2. start still half covered.

Can anyone tell me why I'm seeing the strange button behaviour and how I sort out the half-covered word?

I've re-uploaded the module and updated it and cleared my browser's cache twice. The site is on XOOPS 2.0.16 and I'm running WinXP SP2 and IE6.

Many thanks

Dokuwiki 2.01: how to delete files

How do I, as a site "superuser/admin" delete a document currently present in Dokuwiki 2.01? There's nothing in the user-interface that seems to do/allow this and I'm getting a bit frustrated

Do I really have to get rid of all the files in the uploads/dokuwiki/ directory (itself not an easy task as the will not CHMOD)?

Also, I'm finding that the bottom half of the start and dokuwiki links above the document are covered by the Button bar". Which files/templates do I need to tweak to sort this?

TIA

Don't know if this will help but the "Smart" peeps have released an updated version of the module.

It's labelled as v1.08 and its still a beta release but they sound quite "bullish" about it being very close to a full release version and it having sorted out quite a few bugs. I'm going to give it a try.

Hi frankblack,

Thanks for the message.

I did do a debug and it came back with a "fatal error". I didn't note everything down at the time as I was more concerned about getting things up and running again than trying to get tinyeditor to work.

However, now that I know what to do to repair things I will reinstall tinyeditor tomorrow evening (15/11/06) and report back as I really like the look of it and would like to use it.

One thing I did notice and whhich you might be able to help with in the meantime is that when using the News 1.44 module with tinyeditor, the background of the text-boxes took on the background of the theme that I am currently using, making it difficult to use (the theme is quite dark in colour). Is that something that you've seen before and, if so, how would I correct it?

I will be back with the info in a couple of days...thanks for your interest

Thanks for the advice - you've given me hope

I've found this FAQ which I assume is the one to which you refer? If so them I have a couple of questions......

I've downloaded wysiwyg_sections1053b.zip (from the link in the Comments under the FAQ) and extracted it. This gives a directory called "wysisyg_sections" which contains:

admin directory
images directory
language directory
sql directory
wysiwyg directory
header.php
index.php
xoops_version.php

The instructions in the FAQ say:

"Then stick this in your class folder, as News 1.44, WIWIMod, userpages and loads more point to a folder in class called wysiwyg."

Do I take this literally, i.e. just upload the (sub-)directory "wysiwyg" to the /class folder (thereby discarding all the other sub-directories and files) or should the FAQ really say:

"Stick the the following:

/admin
/images
/language
/sql
/wysiwyg
header.php
index.php
xoops_version.php

into /class...."?

I don't think that there is currently any of the above directories/files in my /class directory so doing this probably won't cause any harm, but this might no be the case for others.

I guess I should give this a go, yes?

Thnaks for the help
