I am using the latest XOOPS install with the exnews theme and have noticed some quirkiness when generating blocks for the left column only. It seems that past a certain point on the left column the type size enlarges and does not match the CSS parameters past the 5th block, yet if the block is moved to the right column it conforms to the CSS just fine. It does not matter what order the blocks are placed. It does not matter what module (if any) generates the block. Where to look for the fix? Is this a theme problem, a template problem or something else entirely?

Can you be more specific in the directions as I'm a relatively newbie.
Directory?
which xoops_version file?
In my case the content is a whole program called phplist. Do I just reference the first page I want to load?

it does sound simple the way you explain it but I just need a little more detail.
Thanks.

Want to imbed another php application (phplist)into my XOOPS website, when people click on the "join the list" the page that loads does so inside my XOOPS page and then works from inside the page. Tried the "wraps" module and could not follow the instructions to get it to work right. Any other module in development? Similar to the joomla module.

Haven't tried debug mode as it is an active site. Was hoping to avoid that.

I'm trying to get tinyeditor to work in news 1.44. I have installed the update patch "tinypatchornrews1.44 in the appropriate place in the news module but I cannot get it to show up as a choice in the preference page for news. Tiny editor is installed correctly with the appropriate line changed to point to it. It works fine for smartsections which is also installed. No cache enacted in any module. Using 2.016. Have updated news module. Even bounced between to templates to update template info. Where should I look for a fix?

Believe me when I say I meant NO offense by that last comment. I was just surprised at the time involved for someone more brilliant than I (and there are many here) to come up with a solution. I can only guess that since there was no urgency implied in my post, that more serious concerns were handled first. Many thanks.

Got it and installed it on a test site. Works great. Thanks for all the work. Took pretty long for an answer, though.

Had old news module 1.1 decided to go to new module 1.4 because of added administrative features. Wanted Koivi editor.
Have uninstalled old module and installed new module. Made news my home page. Fixed a preferences in the module. Created a Category and article.
Nothing shows up when choosing the category and clicking "go" from my home page but I do get the article in the right place if I go to admin portion of news and click on the article. It then opens up in the middle column of my home page.
Started last week with a fresh install of the current stable version of XOOPS but inadvertently installed my old version of news the first time (which worked fine except for no koivi).

Any ideas where I can look for the error?

Found the answer in something I had previously downloaded " xk_editor class v1.0.52.1" It had instructions on how to get news 1.1 and 1.2 to work with the wysiwyg editor. It involves substituting code in 2 news module files.

The editor NOW works with my installation of news "even better" than is smartsections as the box for entering text is nice and wide.

Anyone know how to modify the same in smartsections?
