i am using XOOPS 2.3.3
php 5
it never worked before, but after disabling private messaging module and user profile module it seems to work. now all members are able to send private messages to each other.

my private messaging is not working in XOOPS please help i switched on the debug to see whats wrong, i am shown these lines please help

it was none specific, there were shared blocks like forum search.
you may take a look.

XOOPS_ROOT_PATH was defined correctly infact i have viewed the homepage but after restoring few modules such as
smartfaq
smartdownloads
smartobjects
i am unable to view the homepage and getting 'XOOPS root path not defined'

my hosting server was wiped but the MySQL is protected and saved. i like to know if i install XOOPS again would i be able to recover my website back ? i know it cannot be recovered fully. i have tried installing the latest version of XOOPS when entering the MySQL information i got the error, "could not copy the distribution file to mainfile.php" and the white page appears,
what could be the solution to this problem ?
