How do I set a default Avatar for members who do not upload their own for use in the forums for example?
You just need to overwrite the file "/uploads/avatars/blank.gif" with the file of your choosing keeping the same file name and this in turn will display your new avatar if required.

Please note that this file may be used elsewhere in your site so make a backup of the original first!

I have the same problem with the avatar because its doesnt show , i change the blank.gif with another picture and still doesnt work, i upload a file in the administration menu / avatar and it doesnt work

can somebody tell me what to do?

You should replace the file:

/uploads/avatars/blank.gif

thx for your time, but still doesnt work. i want to keep the original avatar and it give me this error when i try to open the avatar in a new window
