How can I create and add my own custom blocks in Xoops 2.2 ?
On the upper left in the blocks administration page is a dropdown list for adding blocks on the page. Simply choose "System - Custom" and a custom block will be added to the list for your editing.

How can I set up so blocks only show in Admin Page?

It seems that I can do this in v2.2 but not v2.0.18.

Any ideas?

Thanks

In 2.0.18.1 in the Administration area, click on the "System" icon, and then click on "Blocks" - you'll have at the bottom the new block.

Once you save it, go to "Groups" and select who can see it - in this case, only the Webmmaster.

The basic structure of a XOOPS theme is similar to that of any other static website template. The primary difference is the addition of Smarty variables that interact with XOOPS to output your dynamic content.
