New theme for frxoops

The Team Frxoops is pleased to introduce its new theme. In addition to design, this theme will help you navigate more easily through the navigation bar consisting of each module and classes thereof. Featuring the css3 systems, it is usable on most browsers like Firefox, Opera, Safari, Internet Explorer, Chrome The new feature -The navigation bar: You can go directly to the module category that interests you. Example: You want to see all news on the topic themes? To do this place your cursor on the main news tab and then click on the submenu theme - Private messages: When you receive a private message, a very visual warning is displayed in the search bar (see image below) - The profile: To access your profile, simply right click on My Account, you will have direct access to it. Graneroverde : a new website based on XOOPS

hello Xoopsers,

I am happy to share with you a new Lebanese website I created, based on XOOPS 2.4.5. It's Graneroverde, a small touristic project in the Lebanese mountains.

First, a big thanks for Mage, nikita, and Mowaffaq for their precious helps to do many necessary hacks for modules.

The modules used are :
- Publisher : to do news and internal pages.
- Extgallery 1.07 with lightbox effects on the horizontal random block : this module is used as photo album.
- TDMDownloads 1.5 with many hacks : while there isn't a rental module in XOOPS , (or at least I dont know it), it was necessary to me to make online chalet rental system by using TDMDownloads after adding a reservation form in the page of each chalet, also by making several changes to the language and templates.
the form is added by Mage.
- xfguestbook 2.5 to create a guestbook
- Google map
- tad_faq : to create the frequenty asked questions regarding online reservation and registration on the website.
- Contact 1.07
- Simple counter to count visits
- al-rased to view visitors by states

Sorry!!!

Missed some variable name changes during merge of wishcraft's patches and had to fix them.

They are now in xNews 1.69 Final.

To upgrade xNews 1.68 Final to xNews 1.69 Final:

Xortify 2.21

Xortify - Fortify your XOOPS.
Cloud Security for Protector - Dedicated Server.

Xortify is a network security drone that uses Web 2.0 techniques to link between your XOOPS installs and other via a XML Cloud. This will prevent security intrusions to your xoops with accurate deceptive notation of the intruder and prevent any farmed attacks. It is an accessory and required Protector to be installed an running to be part of the hookup. Otherwise it will run without protector just make sure you deselect protector as a provider.

It will display a template if you are banned and is an accessory to protector or any other firewall technology. The site itself is driven from http://www.xortify.com .. Cloud computing is web 2.0/3.0 stuff it used a SOAP XML exchange backend to work, this will eventually be included in xoops as a support class, that is SOAP protocol.

A cloud computing process is one which staggers multiple networks sometime and mainly unknown to the webmaster into a network or cloud of data. In this example it is IP and Netaddy names to control access lists.

This will prevent predators from exposing your network to lag and other attacks from link farming, often this means many xoops are attacked in occasions which is all the time caught by protector, this way if an attack is in process across a large spectrum of links, your site will down itself to your sourced attack even if it is discovered on a completely unaffiliated site that is link farmed to yours or on a XOOPS User list.

  • Protector Provider on now by Default


Upgrade Instructions

Make sure you delete the 'providers' folder in the existing module then upload Xortify 2.21. Once you have install the file base this way you will remember to upgrade the module in the system modules application in the xoops system menu.

You will need to then goto the preferences and make sure you are running the protector provider if you are running protector this will populate the cloud with your bans that come in protector as well.

X-Forum is a completely extensible forum module for XOOPS, this is the complete stable release of the first version of 5 series, it includes multiple fields specifiable per post on individualized forums much like profile module. It does require Frameworks 1.20 or later. (framework available from http://www.chronolabs.coop/binaries/)

Designed for XOOPS 2.4 and earlier version, it was written in response to problems with earlier forum titles, that had in some cases installation issues. With a broad range of options. X-Forum is a great solution to your forum requirements, complete with RSS Features and image management.

It will utilise a wide range of options and allow your community to discuss issues, raise topic and solution. Complete with .htaccess example and SEO with a medium URL.

With X-Forum you can have all the convenience of the modular newbb path without the result. Based on CBB with a sound environment that even your grandma can use, I know mine does this is solid stuff coming directly to you under GNU Licenses.

Complete with Easy Path SEO Guide and help in the preference, you can even with some simple SQL Injections transfer your old CBB 2.x or 3.x over to X-Forum with ease.

In later version we will be updating more the the templates to give it a nice evenly rounded abstraction without that old box XOOPS look from just static templates for you to build from.
