Techfocus migrates to Xoops 2!
I'd like to announce Techfocus's migration to the Xoops 2 Content Management System! We had been using the Postnuke CMS, but chose to migrate after the previous system was unable to handle high-traffic features on the site. The features which Xoops 2 brought to the table were specifically features we were looking for, most notably the caching feature.

Lykos Admin Blogger release
Just released Lykos Admin Blogger 0.1 for Xoops 1.3.8
This is a quick and dirty way to post one liners on your site. There are 2 blocks and one main page, no admin. One block has a simple text form. Anything ADMIN posts in here will be added to the top of the display list. (Suggest making this box only visible to admins). The second block displays the latest X posts (editable). At the bottom of the list of posts is a link to the main page, with a list of all posts. There is no edit function, nor a post expiry.

Freecontent for Xoops2
I looked at the freecontent module and tried to make it work. For some reason I was succesfull. This hack runs on my site with the newest CVS Version of Xoops.

I want to personally thank all of the developers of Xoops for their hard work. I have tried numerous CMS’s/Portals (all of the Nukes, Tiki, EZ-Publish, Mambo, E-107 and most of the other open source CMS’s) I started using Xoops 2 on a test site about a month ago and I have to say WOW!!!!
