Articles, XOOPs article manager version 0.17 released
Articles Version 0.17 is mainly a bug fix release for v0.16a. The changes are:
o E-mail to friend function would fail if your site is running on a version of PHP older than 4.3.0 - the result was a blank page. I have added a custom function for sites using older versions of PHP.
o Category and article titles in both front and back ends may have been displayed with garbled text. I only found this on one of my sites, but I have made some changes to try and prevent anyone else from experiencing this problem.
o Actually got around to writing some installation instructions...

Mods-x Opens its doors to the public.
This is my fourth Xoops effort and must admit I am getting more and more confident with Xoops, the skins and smarty theme engine. It is a joy to write modules for.
But anyway, just wanted to let you know that http://www.mods-x.com has opened its doors to the public. Here you can find a growing list of articles relating to running Linux on the X-Box. The site employs a slightly modified OSCommerce module for Xoops to sell our X-Box liberation services.
The theme is based on Montisarts' excellent theme. The header has been tweaked and so was the css. I am not a graphics designer, I am a programmer, so take it easy on the design

Version 0.16 of my XOOPS module, Articles has been released and can be downloaded from the download area of my web site.
Changes since last public release (v0.12):
===========================
o Added support for XOOPs internal notification system for new articles.
o An error message will now be shown if an article doesn't exist.
o Added two more popular and latest articles blocks. These are meant more for being shown in the central area, rather than the sides.
o Fixed a bug in the comments title.
o Changed "email to friend" feature to use XOOPs' internal mailer system.
There are no database changes from v0.12, so if you are updating from version v0.12 or later, then all you need do is upload and over-write existing files.
If you are updating from a version earlier than v0.12, then the database will have to be updated first. Please see the docs/UPDATE.txt file for more details.

Theme "Thin Line".
This is the first release of the Thin Line theme. It's a fast loading theme which layout is build with tables (css version will be coming soon). The whole meaning of this theme is giving the site back it's content. So be carefull in how you structure your site. It's finding balance that proofs to be difficult.
Theme includes:
