After using my small flatfile cms for over a year I convinced the "Europese Snorrenclub Antwerpen" to switch to Xoops. So, I made a new header, tweaked the css of the original theme (obscene) and thought them how to use Xoops...
(Snor is Dutch for Moustache - having a moustache is the necessary qualification for membership of the Moustache Club of Antwerp)
Finaly after over a year of running Dragonfly CMS I was able to switch to XOOPS after seeing the xcGallery module released and testing it on the server and seeing how great it was. I had originally passed over XOOPS reluctantly due to the lack of a good gallery module. I had finally made the choice to shake things up at the site due to the fact that XOOPS really does have a better community with many more modules and more mature CMS code. Not to mention great document management systems. And many of the modules I use thankfully have WYSIWYG and people really love that and GIJOE thanks to his great programming with the AutoLogin code everything is great.
I am currently using the latest: xcGallery Smartsection Xcal CBB Weblinks DocuWiki Xpress
XOOPS @ IBDeeming! announces the release of a great new theme! This was developed for a great little youth baseball club. The site itself will be simple on the surface, with lots of backoffice functionality.
This theme relies on a lot of old "Baseball and Apple Pie" type coloring. If you don't know what that is, primary colors - Red's, Blue's and Yellow's. The White's aren't really white - more of a Smoke White or Lace White. The graphic elements are mostly contained to the title bar, however a few get thrown in from time to time. The rest of the site is mostly CSS driven. My guess is 80/20...for what it's worth. The theme loads fast, and seems to handle all of the standard, and hacked, versions on mods I've tried.
Included is a blank logo.gif that you can modify for your site. Just edit in your favorite graphics package. Don't forget to check it out live at Olathe Youth Baseball, Inc.
We are happy announce that our website http://www.saniamirza.net (Sania Mirza Fans Club) crossed 2500 members mark. I would like to thank you all hardworking Xoops development team for your wonderful work and support. Without you guys, we would not come to this level.
Have a great year and Look forward to see future xoops versions
Well am happy enough now to show my new site. Completeyl dedicated to all forms of Underground Dance Music. Xoops was the perfect solution for the site we had in mind and I am very impressed with the outcome.
Also a very big thanks to Xoopsdesign for the wonderful work they have done on the theme.
It pays to have a good theme when you get users emailing me to say how much they love the new look site. A few niggly problems to sort like the "Invalid Submission Error" (stumped!!!) but I am very happy with what we currently have.
Therefore if you like ANY form of Underground Dance Music, this site is for you.... I hope
03a Geometric Red has been released by XOOPSDesign.com for the XOOPS Community. It's a clean style grey, white, red and black theme design. It's width is 90%, you can easily change the width by changing the table#Main property in the CSS. We used the W3C Validator and it passed the CSS and XHTML test with the theme installed in a xoops 2.0.13.2 installation with just the News module. It may no longer pass the test depending on how your module templates are and how you incorporate content to your site. The theme itself is valid so that's a good start yet it is still a design based on tables which does not make it very accesible to the visually impaired; eventually we'll be cleaning up the code more in future themes.
The PSD of the header was included.
So far it's been looking good in Firefox and Explorer.
To Download it please go to the free themes section at http://www.xoopsdesign.com , you have to register first to have access to the download.
This is my second attempt at a XOOPS website. The Ogden Biz Net is a community website for a city in Utah, USA. My original vision was to form a business type club for business owners. What I think it is turning into is a community website. Hopefully the residents of Ogden will contribute to the site with articles and other useful content.
As a newcomer to XOOPS webdesign, I'd like to see what XOOPS members think and give me some feedback to improve the site. I'm still in the process of moding the look and feel of the site.
Recently, GIJOE has released an interesting module for managing templates on a XOOPS system. It is called tplsadmin, and it is a lot like his blocksadmin module, except this one works to make template editing and administration easier.
You can read his article on this module on his site Here.
