XOOPS powers Libyan Ministry of Defense Website

The Ministry of Defense of Libya got a new website, and it's done in XOOPS!

This is thanks to the hard work of Mowaffaq from http://www.arabxoops.com, who is tirelessly promoting XOOPS in the Arabic-speaking nations.

XOOPS was compared to several other CMS solutions, and after the tests the Ministry of Defense has made the decision to go with XOOPS.

This new Website is using Publisher, extCal, XoopsPoll, MyTube and several other modules.

We are very proud of the achievement and would like to congratulate Mowaffaq and his team for this success.

Subscribers 1.2 Beta Module (Simple Newsletter)

We are pleased to present Subscribers 1.2 Beta - a simple module for sending out Newsletters.

People can subscribe to the mailing list, and the Admin can then create a simple message/newsletter, and send it out to subscribers.

This module is very simple and doesn't have some of the sophisticated features like storing past newsletters, resending past newsletter, but what it does, it does very well

It was originally developed by Trabis for Mowaffaq from http://www.arabxoops.com, and now has been updated to XOOPS 2.5.x Admin GUI.

Module TDMCreate v1.38 Release Candidate

Last release of the module TDMCreate to improve and decrease the time for creating new modules, using the new features for the automatic compilation of the code base required. Some parts of the code that was created in the previous version have been improved to avoid automatically write the code needed especially in administration.

Release Notes:
- Fix some file creation const
- Code of default set out in Parts
- Changed the characters html attributes from \" to '
- Added code to pagenav in admin
- Added code to the list if there is no list

XOOPS 2.5.5 RC Released

The XOOPS Development Team is pleased to announce the release of XOOPS 2.5.5 RC.

This release is focused on fixing open bugs and on updating our libraries to the latest versions:

- phpMailer 5.2.1
- TinyMCE 3.4.9
- jQuery 1.7.2
- jQueryUI 1.8.18
- HTML Purifier to 4.4.0

Please remember: This is Release Candidate version for features testing only!!!!

DO NOT install it on a production site and DO NOT upgrade any production site with it!!!

Free Theme: Gentle

A long time since I posted here, so I decided to release a new theme for XOOPS. Like usual, this is a nearly imageless theme using lots and lots of CSS3.

Gentle is a nice XOOPS theme where I tried to do things a little different. I wanted to make it feel a bit less XOOPS-like and use accents I rarely used before.

This introduced pink to this theme, which really makes it look different from what I’ve done before and really gives the theme a unique feel.

Best of all, I’m releasing this theme for free :)
