mor·pho·gen·e·sis, a theme template for theme designers
What is mor·pho·gen·e·sis (for xoops)?
As the name symbolizes it, it is meant to be the body structural part of a default xoops theme template serving as a canvas starting point for theme designers to develop their designs under specific XOOPS standards and W3C compliance.
It is completely based on the default theme of XOOPS 2.3, which is based on Zeta Reticuli by Leo. The process I did was to take the graphical part out and leave just the wire frame keeping the architecture done by Leo.

Why is it important?
First because it is done looking forward to keep themes compatible with the new coming XOOPS versions and it fully supports the use of XOOPS most recent features which are (taken from the release notes of XOOPS 2.0.14, http://devteam.xoops.org/releases/xoops-2.0.14.html ):

Output resources overriding for developers
To allow theme designers to customize images or stylesheets, you have to use the new theme class and xoImgUrl templates plug-in.
* Scripts and stylesheets can be declared to XOOPS using the theme class addScript and addStylesheet methods. The theme instance is available after the inclusion of header.php by using the $xoTheme global variable, and in a template variable of the same name:

* Images and medias URLs have to be generated by using the xoImgUrl plug-in in your templates:
Output resources overriding for designers

* To create a custom stylesheet that will replace modules/newbb/style.css, create your customized file in/modules/newbb/style.css
* To create a custom image that will replace modules/newbb/images/reply.png, create your customized file in/modules/newbb/images/reply.png

What can DesignContest.net do for you?
You might have noticed that a few months ago XOOPS went through some rebranding - it has changed it's logo and overall style. The logo was the result of a contest hosted on DesignContest.net. An identity needed to be developed to convey the large XOOPS end-user community, development community, as well as the object-oriented CMS itself. Only upon approval can Design Team applicants begin interacting with clients.
Contests are easy to set-up and manage. A CH pitches a project idea to the administration. After review and deposit of prize funds, the contest begins and designers start submitting entries. During the course of the contest, the CH is able to make comments on entries and typically posts suggestions or requests. A few days proceeding the contest deadline, the CH can choose a winner. The winning designer delivers source files to the CH and, after the client has agreed that the files are satisfactory, the winning designer receives prize funds. Typically, contests last for 2-3 weeks with an average of 12 entries.
Find yourself asking, "It is a real Design Team creating real solutions for real clients. The investment must be high, right?" Wrong - prizes range from $300 to $500. A Marketing or Design Firm may only start at $500, depending on the project. DC, however, mostly targets budding freelance designers, who need exposure and portfolio experience to help propel them into the industry. Aside from freelancers, the Design Team includes designers from countries with a low cost of living, and established/professional designers who simply enjoy the spirit of competition.

GameCredit Module
This is a game credit module. It allows you to set and display awards for gamers high scores. This can be in the form of credits maybe into a table. Or maybe to reward real high scores with money.
An admin interface would really do this module some good. It should be available in the next release.

Hello Xoopers !Casafree Maroc is an "old" moroccan portal. It was created in December 2000, and started using Xoops on 2004.
Today, Casafree is one of the most visited websites in africa. And that, thanks to the Xoops power. We have more than 15.000 registered members, hundreds of thousands of posts, comments, pictures and news articles.
